"SEI was one of our favorite Pen Quarter restaurants; waiters always super attentive, food expertly prepared and impeccable. Something has happened, and the experience we had was absolutely not memorable. Perhaps because of the holiday, the staffing was not up to par, and the chef was off enjoying Memorial Day elsewhere. But to those who wanted to enjoy the traditionally excellent SEI cuisine, there was disappointment to go around.. I hope this was a one-off hiccup"

"This was my second visit in two weeks. We liked it so much the first time that we decided to come back with a couple of friends and we were not disappointed. The food was still great. However, there was one thing different. The first time we ate in September we ordered Donburi with rib eye beef and it came with sliced beef which was just awesome. This time the dish looked different, more like shredded beef instead of the slices. While still delicious, the sliced version was heaps better. It looked better and seemed to taste better the first time. Other than that, everything else was great. The edamame could have used more salt. The service was also very friendly and attentive."

"To our NY trip we visited this amazing sushi spot, while doing some shopping.The sushi was very fresh. The dishes are not overly priced and are aesthetically pleasing. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was dimly lit and nice. Manager Nash was very friendly and accommodating. We can't wait to come back. Make sure you arrive a bit early to find parking places like you? ll most likely have to park in the parking lot, street parking is very difficult to find depending on the time you arrive."

"I took my partner on a date here and everything from beginning to end was perfect. All of the rolls were amazing (we had 4 different ones). The spicy edemame was delicious and we had three different drinks each (they were all great) we went in a Wednesday night so it wasn't busy at all. It has a great vibe and loved the art on the walls. We were seated right away and our server was great. We asked her for recommendations and she did. It disappoint. The place is a whole vibe. 10/10 I recommend."

"The crispy rice was amazing, 10/10 , we ordered so many because of how good it was. Unfortunately the quality of their tuna sashimi was pretty bad. It tasted fishy and chlorinated, not great. The white fish (mackerel I believe? was actually pretty good though according to the people I dined with. Very overpriced regardless, considering the quality wasn’t that great, I wouldn’t call it a worthy spend."
