"Bruch at the Bistro is always a delightful way to start a bright Sunday afternoon! It 's certainly not supposed to be your largest meal of the day, but it can be the most decadent. Fresh French Press coffee, adding no cream or sugar adulterations but simply allowing the natural flavor of high quality java beans to bloom. Plenty of options for the sweet tooth, such as French toast with vanilla ice cream and real Vermont maple syrup. That delicious syrup is also part of the Belgium waffles dish. You can ask for the syrup on the side to moderate your own preference. Their Croque Monsieur starts with fresh sourdough bread. Inside is thick sliced honey baked ham, sharp aged white cheddar, and topped with sauce Mornay (a béchamel with cheese). Turn it from a Monsieur to a Madame for a few dollars more. Avoid calling it a cheese and ham sandwich in polite company. For me, the highlight of the menu is the steak and eggs. A full 8 oz Wagyu steak and farm eggs your way. Accompanied by a spicy onion serrano pepper relish to kick up the heat. Don 't embarrass yourself in public by describing the relish as soggy vegetables. With home fries on the side, this is a very hearty dish. Another excellent selection is the spicy, savory sauté of shrimp and Andouille sausage over cheese grits. The low Country red eye pan sauce cannot be improved upon it 's outstanding."
