"It has been years since we last visited The Flamingo. We decided to try it for brunch this time. Unfortunately, the service was extremely poor. We waited for 20 to 30 minutes just to get our bill, which was frustrating. However, the real disappointment came with the portion sizes for the prices we paid. My friend ordered two vegetarian sliders that were only 2 1/2 inches in diameter for $15, while I had a papaya and shrimp salad that had shrimp cut horizontally to give the appearance of more shrimp for $18. The salad also contained a surprise hot pepper that was not listed on the menu, causing me to accidentally burn my palate. We ordered tea at the beginning of our visit, but one cup was only brought when our meals arrived, and the second cup arrived at the end of our meal, which we refused due to its high price of seven dollars. Overall, while the food tasted good, the lack of attentive service, excessive noise, and unrealistic portion sizes made the experience disappointing. We agreed to give it one more try to see if other menu items could change our opinion. The venue itself is fun and inviting."
