"Mastros as a whole is on a scale of it's own. To rate it comparatively is almost unfair to any other steakhouse. I haven't had anything mediocre, or anything below greatness. While I usually go to their other location, I was treated to this location just recently and decided to make a review. My only critique is that their heat measurement is a hair different at this location. It caused our table to get a slightly more rare cut than we were all used to. They did a great job in describing their temperatures which we all heard, but promptly ignored. Regardless, that did nothing to stop us from leaving only skeletal remains on our plates. I don't believe any cut of meat tops their bone in filet. Not even the Waygu Beef. Their all amazing, but the Bone-In Filet is perfection. It always pairs astonishingly well with their Garlic Lobster Mashed Potatoes with a side of any of their veggies. This particular location's drinks are better than most high end bars. Can't wait to visit again."

This was an important event in my life with family before a wedding and it was very disappointing that they took a reservation as an open table restaurant but refused to honour the rewards program."

"Our first time to visit the new site, and while we preferred the ambience of the cozy Bistro Elephant, they did a wonderful job with this new venue. Our server, Charles, was excellent. He delivered the perfect amount of advice with the menu, was attentive, and expanded our dining experience. The food was excellent even though we missed the padthai; we were sure it would come back to the menu this summer. The meal was well lasted, we never felt hurried and very satisfied. We'll be back soon!"

"Wife and I both ordered prime rib and a side of scalloped potatoes. Prime rib was just average. Cooked ok but a little tough. Potatoes were nothing to write home about. Service was excellent but dinner was overpriced for what we received."

"Good steakhouse in midtown. Had excellent live music on a Wednesday. Attentive service and sleek ambiance. Food was good, but better steakhouses exist. And prices are high — def caters to the corporate midtown crowd out on a business credit card. I had the NY strip, which was a fine cut of meat. Mac N Cheese and Creamed Spinach were the best sides. Maple bacon won the apps. Everything was pretty good, but not great. So 4 stars not 5."

"Nathan Garrett ruined our night and left us a sad birthday dinner memory at Bar Section! I made a reservation for 7:45 PM to celebrate my husband birthday. An unexpected family emergency came up and we had to drove back to Los Angeles The Steakhouse opened at 5:00PM and we decided to have our dinner earlier and then leave Palm Springs. The hostess checked with Nathan Garrett and he said: CAN 'T DO ANYTHING, while 70% of tables were empty at 5:00 PM : In my opinion such a restaurant needs an experienced well trained staff to understand customers need, situation and satisfaction :"
