"I've been to Red Star several times, always in the evening, until my most recent visit. I've noticed that the service can be inconsistent—sometimes it's good, sometimes it's lacking—but the food is usually satisfying. Recently, while downtown meeting friends for lunch, they suggested Red Star. I typically prefer places where I can unwind, and Red Star hasn't been on my list for that. However, we went as a group of eight, and surprisingly, it turned out to be my best experience there yet! I ordered the fish tacos, and they were unexpectedly outstanding. If you enjoy a bit of spice, be sure to get them with a side of black beans, as they might be one of the best items on the menu—perhaps even better than the tacos themselves. My friends chose salads, sandwiches, and other standard options, which pleased everyone, but I have to say that those of us who ventured beyond our comfort zones and opted for the more unconventional dishes had the best meals."
