"I was there this afternoon with my son before taking the 5:30 ferry. We were there exactly 12 years ago when we sat at the corner table. My son and I wanted to re-live the memory by sitting at the same table. Although we showed them the photo from 12 years ago and said we would be there for less than 20 minutes before getting on the ferry, the management would not let us have the table for 4 and got upset when we insisted. Does cherishing memory mean nothing? Does money come first and everything else distant second at this place?"

"Just went for the first time since it changed from JB's Whiskey to The Base Bar Grill. We'd been a dozen or more times to JB's since it opened and it hasn't really changed much, maybe a few more TVs. Typically the service is pretty good and friendly, and though this time it took quite a while for a server to initially come by, Brittany was extremely friendly and efficient. We just had drinks and our friends took a salad and pizza home so not sure how the food was. Drinks were not outrageously priced, at least compared to other places in the Battle Creek area."

"So I went here again on an unexpected road trip and felt bad for the one waitress working on the floor. It was a full restaurant and she was running around like crazy. We understood it was going to take a bit more for us to order/get food. Once we ordered everything came out just the way we asked and delicious as ever. Took us a while to pay for the check but we understood that as well. While we were waiting for the check she ended up getting some help and I felt relieved. In these times you need to be patient and understanding. These were one of these times. I still stand by my 5 stars."

"Beautiful relaxed atmosphere with seating both inside and outside with a wood burning fireplace outdoors to keep the cold away. Your menu has a nice selection and I would recommend its variety of different flavored chicken wings. They have a separate space for games and games. On Fridays they offer a variety of everything you eat deep fried fish. They serve alcohol and it is a suitable family restaurant for the children. Have fun."
