"As an Austrian who was excited to share my national cuisine with some friends in NYC, I'm so disappointed to say that this was perhaps the worst attempt at genuine Austrian food I've ever had.The Frittatensuppe basically tasted like nothing and the Frittaten (shredded pancakes) were way too thin so the texture was off. The schnitzel was the most expensive schnitzel I've ever had and yet it was dry and the crumb was only slightly crispy on the outside and way too doughy on the inside. On a real schnitzel, the crumb is a dark golden colour and so thin and crispy that it separates easily from the meat. I have a feeling that the issue may have been that it was cooked in oil that was not hot enough (a mistake that I make at home but not one that a restaurant specialising in schnitzel should make). The only thing I liked was the Zweigelt (Viennese red wine).I gave more than one star because the staff were kind and attentive."

"What a great find. Place is always packed, but in a good way. The waiters are friendly attentive and fast. Unpretentious great food and service. The fried chicken thighs with mashed potatoes were out of this world. Beer is always fresh and the atmosphere is lively. Would absolutely recommend going during these cold winter nights."
