"Brought my father here for Father's day. It was our first time here, and we were recommend Almost Home my a friend. When we arrived the Restaurant was filled to the brim with people and the staff were all in top gear. We were quickly seated and we went through there large menu. My father settled on a breakfest plate with hot cakes, and I went with their Meat Loaf. "A Cottage Grove American diner of mediocrity. Being one of the only breakfast restaurants in town they seemingly don't need to put forth any effort into making and serving decent food. Everything looks and tastes bare minimum, canned, packaged and sometimes sufficiently heated. It's your standard diner eggs, bacon, soggyass hashbrowns… lunch items and fried things. "It’s a famous diner that everyone knows. Came on Sunday for lunch there are a lot of people dining after church. There’s a store front selling Virginia peanut products and the back is the restaurant, quite large space nothing fancy just a typical diner set up. There’s buffet option and also a la cart, buffet has a lot of options as well I would go for buffet next time as it has less wait time. Good selections from a la cart menu, and they made to order so it took a while if you have time to wait. The portion of the food are huge. None of us could finish what we ordered. Food is delicious. Service was slow, we were not given straws and nowhere to find our waitress."

"Coffee was good. Breakfast veggie burrito was very cold inside... like refrigerator temperature cold with some warm bags. How disappointing. The staff was not very friendly. I live in Hawaii and came to this food specifically for her Hawaiian name... will not be back"
