Pretty straight forward request..Upon arrival today) i was presented with a massive cake that could feed up 20+ people. Now the $55 price-tag i was initially charged with makes sense.I told the owner, this size isn't what i ordered, I had told you a small cake for roughly 5 to 10 people MAX even using hand gestures to emphasize the size of the desired cake)The owner then apologizes and points me in the direction of another cake option that I could go with instead. I agreed and swapped the cake.However, this cake was $32. The much larger cake that was created due to the lack of listening by this Bakery was 55$.The owner walks away. I ask the owner for the monetary difference. The owner goes to the register, throws the money across the counter and then walks away without saying a word.Did you expect a tip for your mistake? did you expect me to pay more for your mistake after swapping cakes for a cheaper one?In a world where customer service is lost, this was La Luce Pastry's opportunity to shine. They could have had a happy customer me) tell a story to others about how great this place is..My son, daughter, and friends are frequent visitors to this bakery but that will be coming to an end.
