"This restaurant is super disorganized! They have no set hours. They open and close at will. They have never answered their phones anytime ai have called to inquiry about their hours. I have no idea who runs this place or what the deal is but they went from being your average family restaurant to horrible. They do not do any updating or maintenance as you can tell from not only the outside but the inside as well. There isn't much good to say about this place anymore. How they are even open still is beyond me. Maybe this is why they just open and close randomly. I would definetly look elsewhere for dining and food."

"My husband and I are new to this area and we have been trying out different places all over town. Dixie diner by far has out done them all we had the best service the best food at the best prices then anywhere else that we have tried in Idaho Falls! If you have not eaten there I highly recommend this restaurant the waitress Jen was amazing."

"I've been here 2x's...and after the 2nd time I definitely will not be returning. The first time I walked up to the counter and said good morning...silence. I waited for a few beats. I said it again b/c maybe my mask muffled the sound it didn't). Still nothing. Finally someone said yes..I was turned off but still ordered my bagel. I was ordering a coffee elsewhere. So I went to counter to pay and the guy just said no, you need more stuff to pay by card. I have no problem with that but he was hella rude. Now, I decided to go back today. Thinking maybe it was an off day the last time. I walk up to the counter I say good morning... and got nothing. I waited a few beats and then someone asked if I was being helped. I said not yet. I was asked what did I want...I asked the gentleman if they had beef sausage. He rolled his eyes and said we have the round patties...which isn't a response to my question. I said and that's pork correct. He said yes and rolled his eyes. I was gonna just order an egg sandwich with turkey bacon, but the guy looked so annoyed. I thought why spend my money here when the customer service is a mess. I took a deep breath and said nevermind, I'll go somewhere else. The guy then threw his utensil down. Sir, you're doing the most. So yeah, I'm still I'm the market for a deli in my new work area."

"There’s usually a crowd, and it’s for good reason. Such a great diner! Just come in, sit down anywhere, and enjoy some really good food. My go-to’s are: Scrapple; Country fried steak; steak omelette. Pretty solid coffee and French fries as well. Service is always friendly and fairly fast for the place being so crowded at times. Whether ordering carry out or dining in, their food is always consistent."

"First and LAST time we will eat here. PANCAKES WERE SOUR, which made my daughter have diarrhea. Was told it was batter from the day before. They gave us new pancakes from what they said was a newly made batch of batter... Pancakes were less sour...but still sour!!! I should've asked for a refund. I'll just never come back."

"Place was very good. I felt like eating breakfast at 7 p.m., and this place filled the desire perfectly. Food tasted good and was worth my money. It is also not far from my house and the server was very friendly. The reason I left a 4 star because I have been in places where the potatoes and eggs feel fresher and more tasty than homemade cooking (Cricket's Country Kitchen in Sacramento), while here it was only good and the bread had much butter (I would ask for bread with butter on the side next time). If you do not want that far from Elk Grove and want something that is not close to 2pm, but this place is perfect. But I have to say that the bacon was the best cooked bacon I've ever had."

"Have been going there since opening day. This sunday, 27th september. We go it was horrible. New manager walking around like Hitler. The employees were so scared of way he was looking and the tension in there was horrendous. We have always had great service. This manager not say hello has employees scared. My homefries this time had 4 pieces of them on my plate. My eggs were cold. They took them back microwave them and came back hard unable to eat. The tension in there you could cut with a knife. We had to keep asking for condiments, etc. It was worse experience ever. After all these years will never return."

"I went here for breakfast since I heard such good things about it from friends. The place is very small inside, and you will definitely wait for a table. We waited about 15 minutes. I had waffles and coffee. The waffles were mediocre at best, and so was the coffee. I make better coffee at home then this place did. I've also had better waffles at other diners. My husband had eggs and bacon and said his was very good."

"Unlike another reviewer, I found the drinks to be quite good and I am pretty finicky about my beverages. I have had several different types of drinks here-white Russians-good; cosmos-good; so comfort Manhattan-good and so on. This is not my favorite place, but I always stop here at least once each stay. The bar is a very friendly spot, the bartenders are very friendly and fun; and it is also very nice to sit outside, although I usually do that at other spots on Lincoln Road. The jazz is great; I have stopped in and discovered people that I know from Rhode Island (RI) playing-what a surprise! Scott Hamilton, an alto sax player, was there one night, so I took him over to Spris for tiramisu on his break. Fun. Only negative thing that I have to say is that their ladies room is pretty dirty. Step up folks, you have a lovely spot; have some respect for your customers."
