"Terrible…it’s definitely gone downhill. At first I felt it was understandable because maybe they were understaffed for Christmas but even with reservations, we waited 5-10 minutes for our table and another 10 minutes and a server never came. If you’re going to be open for Christmas, I don’t think a restaurant should lower their standards. There seem to be enough servers walking around with not many customers there at 3:45. It’s unfortunate because I used to love going to Shokudo for the honey toast but I guess I will have to live without it."

"This place was good, our first time here. We came in on Saturday around 8:20. We were sat at the hightop bar that overlooked the kitchen. For an appetizer we ordered dumplings but it came out with our meals which was disappointing since it is an appetizer. The servers were attentive but this was a definite oversight given what felt like an upscale place.The food was delicious though. The shrimp dumpling was the better of the two but neither was bad. I had nigiri with a sushi roll which was excellent. My wife had salmon Tonyu Nabe (not pictured). This was really good as well. She got Hijiki seaweed rice to accompany it. I was preferable to my meal but would definitely go back based on either. I had ordered a seasonal watermelon sparkling sake drink (which was great) initially then switched to beer. My wife started with beer. I asked to get a pitcher for us after my first drink since it seemed like the cost effective choice and our server laughed. I didn’t mind but might not be in the best taste for some people. Seemed like 2 or 3 beers equivalent size wise. It was nice that they serve you tea at the end of the meal.I would definitely recommend this place and go back."
