"Overall, it was a great first visit and we will likely find our way there in the future. One note, which they have no control over, is that the planes taking off from the very near by PDX can get pretty noisy if you're sitting outside. Otherwise, the outside patio made for a beautiful view, and the sunset was spectacular!"

"We had a excellent dining experience, we were very early and they were able to seat us, thank you to Jax. Our server ‘Laura’ was very personable, loved her input about what we were considering ordering, and she was right on! Our dinner choices were so tasteful, the presentation was excellent also. We were celebrating our anniversary, Salty’s made it extra special with rose petals sprinkled on our table, a hand written card, plus excellent service!!! I can’t wait to go back again, with the view of the river, great treatment from the time we walked in to great food and service by our server. The Lange’s"

"Grand Dukes has the food I have been eating all my life,77. It reminds me of my Czech Granny Lily and my Polish Granny Eva. And then as time went on my mom and dad kept the food going and me too. I was very lucky to live in Berwyn Illinois with loads of restaurants as well as neighboring Cicero. They are all gone. Grand Dukes brings all Eastern European food together. Delicious. There is such a wide selection of anything you can remember or are eager to try. Your food arrives tasty and hot. Many people celebrate happy occasions which provides fun and happiness for other diners"

"2 months ago I made reservations to sit on the water. when we were the blonde hostess there (name? was a complete spaz that ran around everywhere and told us that we had to find somewhere else. she was completely rude and unwilling. our waitress was abby or ally, she was brilliant and took the time to clean a table on the water. her service was fabulous. the square stools on which they sit are awfully uncomfortable. I ordered a lobster roll. it had a terrible spicy that made it bitter and I am sure it was white fish and not praised. I had a lot of lobsters, and that tasted nothing like praise. Apart from the point of view of the water, there was nothing outstanding at this restaurant and I would not recommend it or back. only one note: when I left, I stopped at the bar to change as a US dollar shock. when the barmaid returned it to Canada, I said I forgot that I would come back from Canada, but that was ok. However, that the same blonde hostess / waitress spoke up and said well they are in Canada . I did not have to be reminded of the obvious this rude person, I only gave a comment."

"I am extremely disappointed with the quality of macarons and cookies I received from this bakery. My order included 24 macarons of various flavors and a heart-shaped biscuit and cream tower. The macarons were dry and crumbled easily, with some having an artificial taste. The stale taste from the display cooler was also noticeable. However, there were a few flavors that were fresh and moist. The cookie lacked sweetness and the cream was unpleasant. This was given to me as a Valentine's Day gift, making it difficult to tell my loved one that I did not enjoy it. I had hoped for a better experience."

"Very satisfied. Excellent deli sandwiches with fresh baked bread and very good quality meat and vegetables. Well, the bad part should really put them a caution mark on their fine pastries. We have been customer for some time and have this irresistible urge to return because their pastries are only decadent. If you want to impress your friends, try one of their handmade cakes. If you post better. Beautiful, friendly owner operated bakery."

"Food portions are too small. Ordered the lamb dish and there were only 4 bite size pieces of lamb and the rice was no more than a cup. Way too small of a portion for the price. The Babushka salad was just cucumbers and tomatoes in a very bland vinaigrette. It was really boring. I could have made a better version at home. The pierogis were good but the broth tasted like "better than bouillon. "Portions were so small we had no leftovers and that 's rare for us. We were hungry an hour later."

"Ever since I first heard about this restaurant when the owner competed on Chopped, I have been wanting to try this place. This place was then featured on another Food Network show, touting it as serving the best Khacapuri, which is Georgian cheese bread, in NYC. I was finally able to try this place for dinner on a chilly, wintery evening. The interior decor was elegant and inviting with warm lighting, cute artwork, as well as knick knacks on the wall, and cozy ambiance. I ordered the Crab Khacapuri, which is their signature dish. This is their housemade sourdough cheesy bread. In the center of the sourdough was crab meat with a raw egg yolk, along with celery. It was absolutely delicious! The bread was pillowy soft and tasty, while having a slight, satisfying crunch. There was ample amount of mouthwatering melty, boldly flavorful cheese with amazing pull, which was the perfect pairing for the delightfully well seasoned crab meat. So, is it the best Khachapuri in NYC? Since I haven 't tried a ton of Khacapuri in general, that 's hard for me to answer, but this version is pretty darn amazing! Then I had the Tzarevna meat dumplings, which consisted of veal and pork. The dumplings were lightly fried, served with sage and pomegranate. In the middle of the plate, there was a creamy yogurt sauce filled with spices, and topped with scallions. This dish was quite generous with 16 circular little dumplings. (I took most of it home, since the Khachapuri was so filling) It was also plated very nicely. However, the taste left much to be desired. The meat filling was on the bland side and the outer shell wasn 't that crunchy. Also, there was very little pomegranate. Service was lovely. The waitress was so nice and engaged me in conversation. The staff in general were friendly and polite. Overall, I really enjoyed the Khacapuri, but was disappointed by the dumplings. I probably won 't return for awhile, though would like to try the honey cake at some point."

"We had never experienced this type of cuisine before, so we decided to let the owner choose our dishes for us. She did an excellent job and made the meal unforgettable. We highly recommend this restaurant to others who are looking for a unique dining experience. It was a great time!"

"Amazing.it is now my favorite restaurant in DC. Everything was delicious and portions were generous. The sea bass was an incredible blend of favors and textures. The carrots were tender and delicious and the chocolate/rhubarb dessert was out of this world. Just like with the sea bass the combo of favors and textures was wonderful. The two of us shared it with two scoops of vanilla ice cream which seemed to complement it."

"I like Van Bakery a lot. This place has been recommended by my sister who lives in Glendale, apparently this is one of the best Armenian bakery's in LA, so I have checked it many years ago. Now, whenever I travel to the US and I am in LA, I will drive there and get some stuff that I can't get in London. Once even the lady who works there offered me to take the cake and pay next time because her card machine was out of service. I told her that I am a tourists and she shouldn't do that. That was extremely sweet and I want to go there back even more."

"This is a different kind of bagel than the New York standard. Different tastes for different people, I'm sure plenty of people like these bagels.First of all the dough is a bit lighter, closer to regular white bread, but still on the bagel side of that spectrum. The bagel is large in diameter, with a very large hole in the middle, resulting in far less actual dough. The crust is very pleasantly crispy and chewy, combined with the lighter bready portion, makes for a nice savory texture. Unfortunately it's all topped off with less than generous toppings, which seems to be all too common these days (I've heard of the cream cheese shortage, but not the poppy seed or sesame seed shortage). The usual wide variety of cream cheeses, spreads, and the locks are up to the New York standard.Ultimately not my favorite place, but above acceptable for your bagel needs."
