"I really enjoyed the $20 breakfast at this restaurant! The boss may have had a bit of an attitude, but the food was delicious. While it's labeled as a Cuban restaurant, I feel like it offers more than just Cuban flavors. As an Asian person, I found the food to be to my liking. I can't wait to come back and dine here again!"

"Overall, we had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. The service provided by Anna was exceptional, surpassing even the food itself. We all enjoyed the atmosphere, the staff, and the dishes, with the exception of the homefries potatoes that came with breakfast. "This is a hidden gem diner that is my all-time favorite; the moussaka is life-changing. Every element the spice the fluffiness of the bechamel and how it's crisped on top and the layers of roasted eggplant they just as tender as could be but somehow even crispier on the edges; I would go there with my mother since I was 12, and I would always order the moussaka every diner I went to that had it on the menu that was my specialty to order it to see whether it would meet the incredible standard of this fine 202 diner. The service was always impeccable and what what made this place stand out was the care that was taken to select ingredients that were wholesome and choice, and to present those ingredients in a traditional style in an exemplar fashion. I've since moved away from the area, but I am hoping for this restaurant to have many more decades of prosperity ahead for itself, and if I had one piece of advice for the proprietors of the establishment, even if you have to raise the price, never remove the moussaka from that menu."

"We visited the restaurant around 10am. I enjoyed a tasty Butterburger, while my daughter had eggs, sausage, crispy home fries, and rye toast, all cooked to her liking. The service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean, including the women's restroom. This is a great spot for breakfast, lunch, or a midnight snack as they are open 24 hours."

"The service was terrible! Also, I wanted to substitute something off of my omelet and was charged to add another item. The waitress didn't tell me that it was an upcharge until I paid for my food. Generally, the service is normally better but on this particular day, it was horrible."

"Wonderful!. I vent to to River Oaks Cafe this weekend with my family who lives in the Fort Worth area. Between the few of us we tried the french toast, pancakes, ROC Burger, and the sausage omelet, all of which were wonderful! The pancakes were literally the size of Texas and the french toast was the best I have ever had! The sauce on the burger tasted like nothing I have had before; it was very delicious! Everything was seasoned to perfection and cooked just right! Besides everything tasting great, the atmosphere was very nice. Employees were friendly and gave great service! The chef/owner even came by to ask how everything was! I am from Irving and will definitely be making the drive back to the River Oaks Cafe very soon!"

"I really don't understand the bad review. Extremely friendly attentive. As someone who works in the food industry I tend to think some of these bad reviews are coming from people out of touch with the current state of the industry. Prices are VERY reasonable. I got 3 breakfasts for $30 before tip. The food was delicious. People really need to start being understanding. We will certainly be back ??"
