"Seven friends and I convened the latest meeting of Fried Chicken Club here tonight. We relaxed into the cozy ambiance sturdy, practical furniture and dark wood booths. We sipped complex/approachable cocktails (expertly suggested by our server and then appreciated the sizable beer menu. We walked down the menu: starting with the Harold Kumar Poutine (addictive! , marveling at the Brussels sprouts and cauliflower (addictive! , chasing them with a couple of noodle dishes and wrapping up by trying all four sauces on fried chicken. Duh. Special shout out to our server. That guy was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. He ran seven CCs patiently and without complaint. We tipped him accordingly. The only bummer: intense typography. The copy is good and the food atypical. But the menu design doesn't invite lingering, which is too bad because there are clearly some innovative minds at work in the kitchen, and a lot to be learned from a place like this."
