"Upon hearing good reviews from colleagues we decided to try this restaurant during summerlious. Initially we were seated at the front of the restaurant and the noise level was so incredible loud that we asked to be seated elsewhere which they accommodated. Upon being seated...three ladies beside us commented that they too asked to be moved due to the noise our table was small but intimate and a lot less noisy. We had ordered our bottle of wine and food already from our previous seating and mentioned this to the waitstaff that we had already ordered honestly it was about 20 30 minutes before we received our bottle of wine and then another 20 minutes before our added appetizer which was not part of summerlious. The added order was the cheese tray which was very good which we both agreed they also tasked us if we wanted some bread with our meal wow $8.00 for the grilled bread and $20.00 for the cheese tray. We ordered from the summerlious menu the shrimp appetizer which was fairly good and the rock fish was also ok (small portions and no added extras but was fairly good) the desert we ordered was the cheese cake which was ricotta cheese and not too bad. Unfortunately tHe service was totally frantic which did not add to the ambiance of romantic dinner we could not believe the bustle and hurriedly staff running around definitely not enough staff. Finally we asked for our bill and upon reviewing we were charged more than twice the amount for the wine we ordered. We called the staff over to correct and was told they would of picked this up and refunded us at the end of the night (right). Our bill was adjusted. All in all even with the summerlious menu our bill was over $250.00 dollars for a mediocre meal I really was so disappointed as I heard good reviews in the past. Sadly the objective of summerlious is to get people to try new restaurants so they will come back again We will not be back nor recommend this restaurant as there are way too many restaurants in Toronto that offer better food for a more reasonable price. Out of 10 I would rate 6.5 where’s my husband a 5."

"We decided to meet some friends in Ann Arbor for dinner at this restaurant. I was pleased to find how easy the restaurant was to get to and it had free parking. The inside of the restaurant was very nice. I liked how there was even artwork on the ceilings. The wait staff was very pleasant as well. I was kind of disappointed as being a vegetarian, although they were vegetarian options, much of the vegetarian food is fried in the same fryer as the shrimp and other meats. I think it is important for a restaurant that has vegetarian options to realize that people do not always eat fish, or may have a fish allergy. This limited options. I was also kind of shocked that for a Friday night, which typically is a busy night for people to go out for dinner they ran out of the one vegetarian skewer, the mushroom and onion kebab. This meant, that my main meal would be a salad. We ordered three different spreads with bread, the cheese fondue salad and apricot gelato. The cheese fondue was amazing! Definitely worth to have. I was underwhelmed by the spreads, although the pepper spread was very good. The bread is grilled nicely and delicious. The beet spread with feta cheese lacked flavour to my liking. I also found the white bean hummus wasn't as garlicky as I would like it. The apricot gelato was very underwhelming as it did not have a robust flavour that you'd expect with gelatos. I would say it was more like an ice cream. The flavours of all the food are mediocre at best and not as flavourful as full as I would expect Mediterranean food to be. Also, some of the appetizers were definitely oversalted. The drinks are good, not overly overpriced. Worth to try but I don't think we'd be back."
