"Bummed about this review because it was very fixable. We came for hibachi and had a few vegetarians in our party, so we verified some things with our server. He confirmed that the hibachi vegetable was a vegetarian option. So far, so good. The hibachi chef arrived shortly thereafter and was entertaining as he made the fried rice. Then he cooked the shrimp, steak and chicken for the table. Then he put the vegetables on and used the juices from the meats as part of the seasoning for the vegetables. The vegetarians were disappointed, but did not say anything to the chef. The rest of our party was silently bewildered as to why one would start cooking vegetables after their protein. When the server returned, one person mentioned that they were disappointed with the preparation and asked for a separate side order of vegetables. The server also seemed confused as to why the chef would cook the vegetables after the meat. We asked the server to see if there was anything he could do, and it turns out, there was! He could shrug his shoulders and charge us full price for everything! Well played, Atami. You win this round...there won't be another. Booooooo."
