"I haven't been back to Campanile for a long time since it was still kind of the other day and the hot spot since Mark Peel and Nancy Silverton were still married, as Nancy still worked in La Brea Bakery. We went to brunch. Especially the **** Mary: tomatoes and vegetables were seasoned and roasted, then cleaned, then poured into a large glass with vodka. Now that's how a **** Mary should be done! I like ’em spicy, and this was much spicy, and very tasty. And all for just $10, a real bargain these days for this level of drink. The eggs Benedikt: everything was good except the English muffin, I think it was full wheat, it was just too dry and boring. The eggs were perfectly fried, the bacon was very wide, thick plates, very high quality. I think more Hollandaise would have helped the muffin. I remember the interior was different then. I don't remember this burg-like motif from the way back to the day. But then I don't remember that well."
