"So we tried to go to Donuts and more that the cherry donuts have, but they are now closed on Monday. We planned donuts before we go to doctor's appointments. Next on the way were Dunkin Donuts, but they were just driving thru and I wanted to see the Donut selection. My daughter mentioned Hurts Donuts. Another 10 minutes drive, but I really wanted to see the choice to choose. I was worried first when pictures saw all decorated donuts, but my daughter assured me that they were glazed and paralyzed. I read the reviews and only negative reading was that you had donuts they thought they were not cooked as I was worried. But we wanted Donuts and I wanted to see her. Let me say the atmosphere was excellent. The smell when you go into is a full flowering donut shop smell!!! Place was very clean. Service was excellent. The donuts were the freshest I ever had!!! No skipping on ingredients like the Bavarian had tons filling plus the chocolate above was more than I ever had from any donut shop. I also tried the raspberry donut and tons filling. It does not have the seeds raspberry. The donuts seemed bigger than all the previous ones we had, but it's been a long time since we had something. I also tasted my daughters cherry to compare with the cherries they loved, say donuts and more, and it was fluffy and tasted like this. Both I and my two teenage daughters now confirmed our favorite donut shop and value the long journey from Davenport to Bettendorf. My oldest works at Whitey's and went after work once after 10, so that the hours I am glad that the teenagers have that as an option are extended. So long story short, highly recommended!!!"

"I don’t live anywhere near this place but have heard great things about Hurts so I decided to stop by after taking my fiancé and his little brother out for a fun night out in the area. From the moment we stepped in the door, our experience wasn’t the best. The guy working couldn’t be bothered to greet us and seemed extremely annoyed that we were even there. I tried giving him the benefit of the doubt because it was late (around 1am) and thought maybe he was tired, but they are a 24-hour donut shop and we were in and out within 10-15 mins. I ordered 8 donuts, paid (even tipped the guy at least $6+ despite his awful customer service), and we sat down and decided to each try 1 we had picked out. It wasn’t until this time I had realized that 6 out of the 8 donuts were cake donuts; which none of us are big fans of. The guy working didn't care enough to tell us that one of the cases is filled with only cake donuts. Again, first timers here so we had no idea and it’s not like it’s easy to tell when the donuts are covered with different toppings. Just another example of awful customer service. After about 7-8 mins, we decided to leave and I figured I’d buy a couple regular donuts to take home (now that I knew which case had what). After going back up to the counter to order a couple more, the employee legitimately rolled his eyes at me when he went to grab a box. I assume he probably thinks I didn’t see him but I did and was honestly confused as to why our presence was annoying him so much. Maybe he shouldn’t work the overnight shift or maybe he just shouldn’t work in a customer service job period.I was really disappointed that the customer service was so awful because I had high hopes for this place. I also feel like I wasted money on donuts that we wouldn’t have picked had we known one entire case was only cake donuts. We tried the cake donuts anyway and they were dry but the regular donuts were decent so there’s that I guess.Their emergency donut vehicle will be in our city this Friday but after the experience we had, I unfortunately won’t be purchasing anything from Hurts again or visiting their store."
