"Super friendly staff and the place is nicely decorated. One problem is the long wait time on food. The food took about 30 to 40 mins to come out. My husband and I ordered 2 simple plates of breakfast. I got the #2 breakfast special (scrambled eggs, toast,bacon, and potatoes). My husband got the #7 breakfast special (2 sunny side up, ham, bacon, sausage, and 2 pancakes). The food was great. We loved it. But the food needed to come out a bit faster.We also witnessed a guy who wanted a refund for his sandwich/bagel because it took so long."

"Super popular in the neighborhood. Really does not need a review. Basic NY deli style food. It's a small store but we always find seating. I think they do salads and bagels best despite the extensive menu. Stick with the basics and this is a perfect go-to when you need a meal in this neighborhood"

"Mekelburg's is a Brooklyn staple, and one of the originators of the gourmet deli restaurant bar combo. Both aspects are spectacular. The deli and groceries section contains a cornucopia of fun food options from truffle chips to artisinal hot sauces. They have everything you could need, and things you never would have imagined that end up becoming must have grocery items on future trips.The restaurants is also eclectic and delicious. The fried chicken sandwiched between two waffles functioning as buns is creative and mouth watering if a little messy. The caviar baked potato is fantastic. You can't go wrong with most items honestly, but they do have some occasional misses in the sandwich department. The porchetta sandwich was comically large and not tasty. The atmosphere is also a little lacking, essentially just some chairs and tables in the back of a deli, which granted is kind of the vibe but it's far from my favorite place to hangout. The food makes up for it though.Definitely check it out for both food and groceries!"

"Terrible service there is a girl with red hair who treated me badly from the beginning I came back because my daughter likes bread with eggs from there but she managed it with the other employee and they did not want to serve her they treated me terrible if the boss saw this those people would not it is good for your business they do not have good customer service they lack empathy"

"First order of a THEC HB SPK since reopening. The Taylor ham was slightly lighter than before, could use a few more slices. Hash Browns are the same, very nice. Nice job to clean the place in the house. Nice people work there. I know I speak for the entire PV community when I say I wish they would answer the phone with a “Hello Kens!”! "Our family has been going to Backlot since we moved to the neighborhood in 2016. They quickly became our favorite coffee shop! The customer service is great, the drinks are amazing. They also carry Do-rite Donuts, delicious quiches from PHlour- and have plenty of other pastries to offer!
