"My faith in humanity is restored. Today, I went to Chick-fil-A for lunch and it was SUPER crowded. Because of this, when 2 tables opened up, I chose the non-booth small table with only 2 chairs (since I’m by myself). An elderly staff member asked me if I wanted the nicer booth, and I politely refused, telling her it’s better for a larger party to sit there with so many people waiting for seats. She thanked me, said “God Bless You” and said it was her job to make sure the customers are happy, as she wiped my table and then continued on cleaning other tables, and handing out things like wet naps to other customers all around. Once my Spicy Deluxe sandwich and Chicken Tortilla soup was brought to me (which, by the way were VERY delicious), she came back a few minutes later with a WARM chocolate chip cookie, and gave it to me saying “thank you for your kindness”. I was so pleasantly surprised at what lengths this elderly lady went to “to make me happy” in just a simple fast food place. We chatted a bit, and I found out she is Dutch and is the organist in a local church and the owner hired her (despite her age in mid-late 70s) saying that she is the oldest person he ever hired, and he did so because she wanted to show the customers Christian Love-based service. Thank You, Lennie, for making a simply good lunch...the best lunch I've had in a long time!"
