"What a delight! I lived in Richmond for over 30 years and have never tried Azzurro. The ambience, the food, the service were all outstanding. We were seated at a lovely table by a lovely maître d’, who is extremely charming, and set the tone for the evening. Perfect cocktails, followed by a beet salad for me and shrimp gazpacho for others at our table. They all loved it. As for dinner, I enjoyed the Pollo Palermo and the halibut piccata special for my other half. Both dishes were so unique. In my opinion very clean Italian. The quality of a halibut was outstanding.  In my opinion, all the food was spot on. Our server was absolutely delightful. She read our table beautifully, and I commend her for her professionalism and talent for making a perfect evening even more perfect.  for others at our table. They all loved it. As for dinner at Azzurro- go in, expecting a charming environment with a charming staff, genteel vibe, and overall pleasant experience."
