"Hula Bay did not disappoint. I just searched water front restaurants and this placed popped up. Everything we ordered was so good. The mahi mahi sliders (get blackened. Highly recommend) were perfect. The noodle bowl with shrimp…10/10. The broth had this sweet flavor and they give a good amount of shrimp for the price. You should come during the brunch hour because it’s not busy and you get to see all the boats line up on the dock. I’m sad they didn’t do brunch which is why we came but I will be coming back, for sure."

"this is not my first time eating here, but this is my first assessment. I had it a few times in the past and it was good, but today it was just okay. I had the pork bell tacos and some of the pieces were cooked and very chew. it was also very fat. the mahi tacos were dry. the kalamari was good. I might be a little strange for it, but I don't like oversized chicken wings. the wings were really huge. I give 4 stars instead of 3 on the basis of the last dinning experience."

"Traditional Jamaican island cuisine but very heavy on the salt in both the Curry Goat and spinach. I ordered Curry Goat, rice and beans, spinach, steamed cabbage w.a side of sweet potatoes thru Uber Eats. However, my order did not come with steamed cabbage. But the yams taste straight out the can and the carrot cake has a funny consistency to it. But my husband said, the carrot cake was good. But the slice was way toooo small or thin for the price we paid for it $5 or $6. The portion size for the large plate was decent and thankfully the goat meat was not fatty or boney at all."

"The customer service has isn’t always the greatest but I’ve heard good things about the brunch menu, so I thought for Mother’s Day I’ll bring my mom mother in law here. We made a reservation on open table. When we got to the restaurant they told us they only had a limited menu which was mainly seafood, which wasn’t shown on open table or social media. So we just had drinks left. The server was trying to get us to stay but someone in our party had a shellfish allergy and they cook everything in the same oil. They weren’t really accommodating. The whole establishment is just a no for us."

"I love Pier 290 and I've been here since her opening. By far one of the best places on the lake. The atmosphere is number 1 from all places on the lake in my opinion. Food, drink and service is also wonderful. Today breakfast and asked for a page of scrambled eggs, and we were told “the breakfast menu is still new” and they couldn’t have any scrambled eggs. The breakfast menu is not new, it was here last year. It's great, but not new. And you can't throw egg?! I'm stubborn. You still love Pier 290, but that was a bummer."

"great atmosphere, energetic live jazz music venue, very good food and excellent customer service. the place is packed early in the night and it is recommended to call it a few days in advance to reserve a table. we stayed in the bar and ordered wein, a salmon blt sandwich that was boiled to perfection and came with a side of very crispy pommes. we had the chef too. the barkeeper dee was excellent! very recommended unique place!"

"Popped in for a nightcap with a friend. Peter, our bartender was AWESOME!!! He genuinely cared that we were there, and no matter what drink we had in mind; Peter described something even better and delivered!!!! We Loved That! I shorted this review one star for the only reason of the dude that was sitting beside me at the bar. Apparently he also works there,(was not on shift) and was a TOTAL JACKASS! "The host that greeted me was very friendly and welcoming. My waitress was also great! Food was phenomenal! Don't miss the cornbread with the guava butter. So yummy! I wanted to bring one back home with me. The fried snapper was lightly fried and hada nice crispy coating. Seasoned well. The only reason I gave the restaurant four instead of 5 stars is because I was taken abackwhen I saw my bill and noticed the tip was automatically included. I always tip but I prefer to make that choice myself. Ididn't complain about it because the service and food was exceptional but I wish this was disclosed to me. This was the onlyrestaurant that I visited during my stay in Atlanta where they added the tip automatically. Where I am from the gratuity isadded for parties of 5 or more. I also had a shake my head chuckle after looking at the receipt. The receipt shows the differenttipping options, 18%, 20% and 25%. They gave themselves 20%. Why have the option of 18% if you know you are going to giveyourself 20% ???????????????."
