"Stop #3 on our Summer Hot Dog Joint and Diner Tour 2018...and a decent trip from our area, Hot Dog Caboose in Midland Park, NJ. My son Jason REALLY wanted to go here and I love trains, lol), so today we made the trip. Very cool location in an actual kaboose sits on an abandoned view along with an old car at the old station now an art gallery). It is also next to an active local freight line, did not see a train A good menu, but it is about the dogs. Hot Dogs are natural sheath saboards boiled hot water style if I'm not mistaken. You have many topping options as well as regular or pretzel rolls. I opted for two Chili-Käsehunde... a regular bun, a brezel ****... and a level with mustard on a brezel ****. Jason had a simple dog on a pulp **** and some chicken bites). Really good stuff. Delicious chili, cheese sauce and crisp dog. The Pretzel bubbles were roasted outside, soft inside. Really good texture. I also had an ingenious Boylan Bottling diet root beer. Had a little sharp on it... Jason finished his meal with a Sponge Bob ice bar. seating area has 3 round wooden tables with screens and is adjacent to the freight train, lol. Definitely worth the trip. Look."
