"Surprised!. After leaving the Squirrel Hill library I realized I was hungry and just wanted a sandwich, a comfortable chair and a table to read my paperback mystery. I decided to go across the street to Uncle Sam's but without any great expectations no pun intended). I was all set for a mediocre sub but to my surprise I really enjoyed my cheesesteak. The sub was large and overflowed with fried onions, green peppers, hot peppers and lots of steak. The mass of fries made me feel guilty as I gobbled them up swathed in ketchup. The young staff behind the orderind counter were polite and efficient, and the prices were reasonable considering the size of the portions. Ok its not the healthiest of all food but once a year one can splurge on calories. In a nutshell Uncle Sam was damn good!"
