"Update: I was very impressed with McAlister's response to my review. They took care of us and made this bad situation right. I have updated the review accordingly. Do not do take out if you want to get your money’s worth! I just got home and they didn’t even give me a legit club. It was missing the middle pieces of bread and they didn’t toast it at all. They also forgot to put my chips in the bag. Also, the kids mac cheese bowls were halfway filled. My wife’s meal was sub par also. We usually eat there and we will do that from now on. I definitely deserve some money back! Please, someone from the restaurant reach out to me."

"First visit, and it was delicious!!!! My parents and I all have ordered the choice two for $7.99. What a great value! We had half the southwest salad that was huge, the tomato soup, the reubs, the club sandwich and the cranberry club. We have replaced the wheat bread for a baguette and it was perfect! Great servings, high-quality food and affordable prices!!! The cookies are delicious! Two thumbs up!"

"I order here all the time mainly from uber eats because i work near by, i sometimes forget to click the button to send napkins forks and straws. Most places i order wont send if that button isnt checked. They always send everything in the bag anyways sometimes even extra forks and nothing is ever missing. Food is always hot and fresh. "The place is clean, and it was packed and busy when I went inside. I heard that the sandwiches at this place were good, which is why I decided to visit it. They have a huge variety of options on their menu. My friend told me to try their Reuben, so that is exactly what I got. The staff are friendly and polite. The service was definitely slow. I do not know if it is because the place is packed and busy or the service is really slow at this place. I had to wait a long time for the Reuben and the drink I ordered. Anyway, the prices are fair and reasonable. The Reuben was fresh and had a nice portion. I must say it is a good sandwich. It tastes fresh, and the portion is kind of huge, and the flavor was delicious. I definitely like it, and I will most likely return to this location. The service will be quicker next time. It is a good place, and as a first-timer, I would say that the sandwich is indeed good. I am looking forward to trying something different but just as good as their Reuben."

"First I will start by saying this location has fallen off with their salads and Sandwiches but let me start with the Good. During this visit we ordered the Chipotle chicken and Bacon Spud, side broccoli, Carrot Cake pick 2 chicken club and harvest chicken Salad Salad.The chicken and Bacon Spud was excellent its a must try. Steam broccoli was very good. Carrot Cake was good just a little too sweet for me because I don't eat alot of sugar so I would say try it for yourself.Now the Bad. The Chicken club use to be very good cut into triangles with the toothpicks. I received the three pieces of bread cut in half. The bottom layer was a big hunk of lettuce only with no meat, as it typically is and I have ordered thissandwich for years. When I tell you it was so much lettuce on the sandwich until I did not need to order the salad. It supposed to come with mayo and honey mustard. I asked for no mayo but they forgott to put honey mustard which is the highlight of the sandwich. Needless to say the sandwich was very dry and inedible. Lastly the salad, it was the chicken salad salad. Now the chicken salad was very fresh but the lettuce OMG. It was big chunks of big white stalks. I had to pick the chunks out and by the time I did it was barely anything. Maybe 3 forks worth. Not sure what happened to the sandwiches and salad but please please take more pride when preparing food for paying customers especially the loyal ones."

"I went today and tried their chicken breast sandwich, and it came on a croissant with spring mix, tomato, and honey mustard. The sandwich was thin but had amazing flavor. Came with a side, I chose to upgrade it to a fruit cup for a little more money. The fruit was ok, it was cut up in house and some of the melon wasn't ripe yet. All and it it was a good lunch."

"This was my 1st time at a McAlisters and I was McWowed! I had the New Southwest Steak spud with mac cheese, cucumber salad, broccoli c heddar soup, large signature ice tea last but not least NY double chocolate cheesecake. The spud entree was top five I ever had with alot of succulent steak slices, cheddar cheese sour scream and the potato was huge-enough food for a whole day and only $12 is a great value. The mac cheese was perfect-thick, creamy delicious. The broccoli cheddar soup was also a top five ever item for me! The NY double choc. cheesecake was rich, dense and super delicious. It satisfied my regular chocolate craving. Service by Manager Hector, counter staff Tara Ryan was top 1% at any restaurant I've patronized. This restaurant is run extremely well! The dining area is large, very clean with a pleasant upbeat ambience. This is the best deli restaurant I've been to in Tempe and top five in Arizona."

"I just want to shout out who ever was running the store last night. What a wonderful woman. I was dinning in with my mother and our order was taking an unusual amount of time. I went and asked about it and was apologized to and assured my order would be right out, which it was. We began to eat and what I assume was the manager came over to the table and set the money for our order on the table and said we never should of had to wait that long for our food. What an amazing woman. I want to be very clear that I did NOT ask for a refund, I was not being a Karen or anything like one, she simply felt it was the right thing to do. This woman deserves a huge raise if anyone above her reads this!!! She made the bad day I was having end with a smile on my face. Thank you!!"

"Outstanding service and staff, clean throughout, well organized, and the best salad I have ever had! Stopped in on a Friday night at McAlister's Deli. We walked straight up to the counter with no wait. We were greeted immediately by a man named Terrence who I have to say is outstanding at his job. He is polite, patient, well spoken, and very friendly. He was quick to take our order and gave us our number to place at the table for when our food was ready. Within 10 minutes we had our food brought out to us. I ordered the full size Savannah Chopped Salad which was amazing!!! It is loaded with grilled chicken, dried cranberries, Gorgonzola, honey roasted almonds, tomato and cucumber on mixed greens. It comes Sherry Shallot dressing on the side. The salad itself was so good I didn't even use the dressing. My wife got the pick 2 which are half portions and got the half size Savannah Salad and Spicy Turkey Melt. She said it was fantastic. All for just under $20 total. I would not hesitate to recommend McAlister's to anyone. Not only for their fantastic, reasonably priced food but incredible service. Thank you to Terrence and all the other staff working the evening of 12/3/21. Great job!"

"This is a pleasant sandwhich restaurant. The staff is always friendly no matter what time it is. Spuds and soups are always hot and tasty. Very inviting atmosphere. Lunch crowd is always a packed one. Lots of sandwiches to choose from and they even have a pick two where you can combine half of a sandwich with a soup or spud of your choosing. This place also has kids meals. Always a sure bet with this place. Also don't forget the tea here it's hard to beat with different flavors you can add as well."
