"My partner and I decided to grab some southern Cajun cooking prior to heading back to Texas. We stopped in Rice Roux which is pretty much a hole in the wall. Nothing fancy about this place, but the food sure is good for the price. For under $15 you can get a sampler of jambalaya, gumbo, a dinner side, a dinner roll, drink and one entree. I had a sampler combo #2 with the boudin. It was pretty tasty but my favorite had to be the gumbo; perfectly seasoned and the meat was blended well. If I do come back it sure will be for the gumbo. My partner loved his red beans and rice! Overall, if you are in this area and want a taste of Cajun this is a perfect spot to stop by and fix your cravings."
