"Jack Astor is a must to try in St. John’s. I've been enjoying his holy smoky burgers for 5 years, the Cheddar soup and the truffle friars. The burger is still the 1st in my list of burgers in the city (for them without Jalapeño, if you do not want a spicy food) The best experience we had goes back to the day when we wait our food with 1 hour delay (with 20 minutes to place our order). The restaurant was super crowded in a Friday night and things were mixed. But the waitresses apologised several times very friendly, in the end offered us a free desert and let us feel respected and cared for as costumes. That meant a lot to us and let us come back as usual."
