"Our first visit. A charming, enticing environment. Beautiful old rooms in a home converted into a small restaurant. Size is all that is small. Wait staff is excellent. They know the history, the menu and when to be there and when not to be. The food was absolutely wonderful. Soups were fresh and flavorful. I had a crawfish bisque with an orange flavor. Different and wonderful. The Venison tournedo with bacon, mushrooms and a demi glace melts in your mouth. Friend had the Wild Boar and it was also terrific (I had a small bite! . The soufflé was good, but the dense chocolate cake was a real keeper. We did not try the wine list as we brought our wine with a very reasonable corking fee of $20.00/bottle. The only down side for me was no espresso, but that is a minuscule complaint. A memorable dining experience which will definitely be repeated. Could not recommend it more. Go you will be surprised no matter how high your expectations."
