"The food was good. I was prepared to eat with my fingers, but when my meal arrived, I realized that efo riro isn't served with pounded yam. They do offer a selection of yam dishes, but efo riro isn't on the list. I checked the menu and figured that pounded yam must be listed separately. Unfortunately, they couldn't provide it unless I chose from the limited options available. I've never had efo riro without pounded yam (fufu) before, so I started looking for a fork to try the dish as it's traditionally served. But there was no fork! Should I eat the jollof rice without any utensils? I decided to dive in, and it was delicious, leaving me quite satisfied. However, I quickly realized there were no napkins either. Frustrating! I also ordered some limeade, only to find out it was just a basic drink. Was I expected to eat as if I were in the bush? Why wasn't there any pounded yam, a fork, or even a napkin? I've never experienced this before. To be clear, the food tasted great—just a bit spicy but very flavorful. Still, the lack of these essentials made me question how I ended up here and whether I could request room service to bring me a fork. I should have specified that I was in a hotel; it was even noted in my order."
