"We're not bbq specialists, being from CT ha ha, but we have had numerous unhappy experiences at CT bbq places before this because of overly smoky and fatty meats. When Pigs Fly South made us happy my wife's pulled pork was perfect, she said, no fat and mild smoke flavor. My dry ribs delicious too with virtually no fat, no undercooked meat, and only mild smokiness. The mild sweet bbq sauce was perfect with it. I hope I'm not turning people off with this review, but that is the type of bbq we prefer. I'm sure they have much hotter options for rib sauces, etc. We agreed that the corn bread was great, and I loved my collard greens because they were tasty and not swimming in bacon fat like other bbq places. My black eyed peas were good mildly spiced and delicious. The deviled eggs were good but too mild to be memorable. The baked beans were too spicy for my wife. But I loved them. The side dishes are big so we took the leftovers home with us along with the leftover pulled pork. Friendly low key service good iced tea. Great experience."
