"We were happy right away because of the quiet ambiance of the restaurant. My friend considers herself an expert on lentil soup, her favorite. She stated unequivocally that this was the best lentil soup she has had in Portland. I had the tasty Mediterranean salad and the salmon. As a frequent salmon eater, I must say that the salmon, also, was very well prepared and delicious along with the accompanying tasty pomegranate sauce on the side . We both are red wind drinkers, so we ordered a bottle of their Chilean Cabernet Sauvignion to go with our meal and found it delightful. It was the only bottle of red wine they offer, so we were happy that it was so tasty. Since they are a small restaurant, they do not offer cocktails, but the wine was more than enough for us. Our waiter was a very friendly and accommodating person who taught us words in Farsi when we asked. The bill, for everything, was about what I often have to spend on just myself at many of the restaurants I have tried in Portland. All in all, a wonderful evening."
