"True foods has always been one of our favorite spots. However, we recently took our mother in law out to brunch and were surprised by the service we received. We sat down in a corner booth for about 20 minutes before our server even came over with water. We were looking around for him and even made eye contact multiple times to try and signal him to our table to order, as we have been waiting almost 25 minutes at this point. We even thought about getting up and leaving to go to a different restaurant. He walked away a few times and clearly saw we were seated. We felt as if he was trying to deliberately not come to our table. My family was discussing how hungry we all were and how we wanted to order when he finally came over. He was rude and did not say hello or tell us his name. We said we were hungry and would like to order. He took our order and walked away sternly. He did not ask us how our food was when it arrived and did not ask us for anything to drink other than water. It felt like a chore every time we needed something. His body language was incredibly rude and off putting. Our food came out quick and was great! We paid and left. I usually never leave bad reviews, but was disappointed with the service we received today. I love true foods, as the food and ambiance is always great. Hopefully, we will not receive this server again and will be taking a break from true foods as we felt so unwelcome."

"True Food Kitchen has multiple locations, and we visited the Concord location tonight. The restaurant has a spacious layout with a lively ambiance. We tried the local craft beer Coast, a light pale ale, and a vodka-based cocktail called Sunrise, both of which were good. The beer was slightly sweet and pleasant, while the cocktail had a refreshing citrus taste from the lemon and a nice vodka backdrop. For appetizers, we ordered the edamame guacamole with pita and charred cauliflower, both of which were tasty. The charred cauliflower had a nice charred flavor with a great sauce, enhanced by the addition of dates. The edamame guacamole with pea was delicious, with a nice garlic flavor and citrus freshness complemented by the richness of the avocado. The peas chips were crispy. For mains, we ordered the All Grains Bowl and the mushroom pizza with vegan ricotta and caramelized onions. The pizza crust was delicious, and we enjoyed the combination of mushroom, ricotta, and onions. The All Grains Bowl featured miso glazed sweet potato, green pesto, sautéed mushrooms, and quinoa. The pesto was fresh and flavorful, the mushrooms were well-cooked with an earthy taste that paired well with the pesto, and the miso-glazed sweet potatoes were a unique and enjoyable addition. The service was quick, and the staff were professional and polite, making for a great overall dining experience."
