"Review #970 kicks off the 'Countdown to 1K' in style. On a sunny Saturday afternoon, my friend and I decided to satisfy our hunger at a tea shop located near the intersection of Sawtelle and Santa Monica Blvd. Feeling famished, we decided to search Yelp for a sushi spot. We stumbled upon Hide Sushi, just a few blocks away. After checking out reviews and photos, we decided to give it a try. The restaurant only accepted cash but had an ATM inside with a low service fee. We were promptly seated and handed a simple menu. The server was attentive and quick. We opted for the Sashimi selection, which was fresh but on the smaller side. The Nigiri Sushi, especially the salmon, Hamachi, and Toro, were excellent. The Miso soup was a perfect addition, especially on the cooler evening. The atmosphere was dark and elegant, with tightly packed tables. The restaurant quickly filled up, and there was a growing line of people waiting outside as they do not take reservations. The quality of the ingredients and freshness of the fish were top-notch. We left feeling satisfied and agreed that we had discovered a hidden gem that we would definitely visit again."
