"I hate that I can’t give this place 5 stars. The staff was warm and welcoming upon entering and our reservation was honored, so things were off to a good start.Then things went downhill.As someone very familiar with Ethiopian cuisine (in DC), I expected because of the great reviews an even better experience and quality than what I’m used to.Sadly, the food took almost half an hour to come out, my table was neglected afterward, and the food and injera were quite literally drowning in pools of oil (which also happened to permanently ruin the shirt I was wearing). The portion sizes for each dish were also on the smaller side.It being NY, the food was also double the price I typically pay in DC for better quality.If you’ve never had Ethiopian, you’ll probably like it. If you’re well versed, you’ll come away feeling let down.Can’t see myself returning."
