"Very good experience here. Nice atmosphere, place was comfortable from all aspects. Waiter was helpful in ideas to choose from, but not pushy about anything. Located in Omaha’s downtown Old Market just a block North of Howard Street. I ordered the Habanero Lobster Bisque to start. It was excellent. Had a bite to it, but for people who like a bite, it’s not that bad for heat. If you don’t care for spicy at all, this may have a bit more of a kick than you like. Over all, to me, I thought it was excellent, and would not hesitate to have it again if it were made for that day. For the main meal, I got the Midtown Meatloaf. The meatloaf was a bit different than I’m used to. I will say, the waiter did an excellent job at letting me know how their meatloaf was compared to what most in these parts are used to. Around here, you’ll typically find it’s cooked with ketchup on it, and generally some sort of brown sugar glaze, and then you can add more ketchup after it’s sliced on your plate. This meal is nothing like that, and I was fairly warned. However I still wanted to try it. There’s no ketchup, or glaze at all. It’s more like what I would consider a hamburger steak. Then they put a light brown gravy on it. So, it was a good meal, but not like what I’m used to. I would most likely opt to move to other menu choices next time, as opposed to making it a “go-to” meal. It was good, but not near legendary in my book. However, this is more of a matter of my pallet choice, and with all else I mentioned above, this was a 5 star visit, and well worth another stop."

"Ended up at this place by accident. My car was in the shop for repairs when the city shut the place down for a gas leak. Needed somewhere to spend a few hours. Glad I did! For the longest time I didn't even know this place was a Pub, but then you would not think it was given its unassuming strip small location. Walking in you are instantly transported out of Suburbia and into a very nicely furnished wood paneled bar and dining area. Staff were very attentive and polite, and happy hour goes from open to dinner time. Yay! I went basic and ordered the burger, and it was so good I had to take a picture. Excellent presentation, right amount of meat to bun and topping ratio, and the bun was delicious. All the little things that set great burgers apart from something you expect to find at a fast food joint. Even better, the fries were also delicious and not your generic frozen crinkled you would usually expect. Considering how busy the place was for lunch I can only conclude the other items were just as popular. Everyone around me seemed to have ordered a good mix, and the place was packed on a Thursday afternoon. Excellent establishment, with a keen attention for detail. It's the little things that set places apart. Even more tempting had it not been so early was their massive selection of whiskey. They have alot, and the discerning eye noticed a couple bottles that are hard to find. The owner of this establishment is clearly a man of culture and taste. My one minor gripe was that the music volume was a tad too loud for a Thursday afternoon lunch, but that is a gimme and probably a result of a staffer fat fingerings the button. 5 stars!"

"After reading some of the reviews for Hurricane I didn 't even wanna come by. I just moved back to Florida after being gone for 12 years. One of my friends is like lets go find a place on the water to eat so we can watch the sea planes go by. We wound up at the Hurricane instead. I 'm like I don 't know. The reviews on this place were sketchy. Kinda hit or miss. So she talked me into trying it as she hadn 't tried it either. Just goes to show you don 't trust any review go and find out for yourself. All of my reviews are honest and either are a pat on the back for the place or maybe some constructive criticism for the place. Anyway Hurricane pleased me before I even walked in the place. Conveniently located on 441. Huge parking lot so plenty of parking. The tropical Florida vibe hits you as you approach the front door. Water comes right up the the restaurant. Don 't feed the Alligator 's sign appropriately placed along the water lol uuuggg Outdoor seating area is huge. Awesome Key West vibe going on. Plenty of fans outside if it gets to hot. Walk inside pleasantly greeted by the hostess. Allowed us to choose our seats/view which was kewl. Had a singer there for Lunch Sunday the 13th. Claudia was our server. She was great and attentive. Came back to see how everything was after a few minutes. (that 's a sign of a great server right there! lol Had suggestions and knowledge of the menu. My friend got fish and chips and I got the Mahi Mahi Fish Tacos... MMMMmmmmmmMMMM Margarita 's were spot on. I mean the ambiance, the food, the staff all get 10 stars from me. I 'll be back again and again. Don 't listen to some of these bad reviews here or elsewhere. The bad review could be from a disgruntled employee or a competitor trying to make the business look bad. Hurricane was definitely a pleasant surprise. Great restaurant !!"
