"We used to be regulars at this little diner, went there several times a week, but things have changed over the years and the changes have not be for the better. Back when Rich owned the place it felt like the old Cheers TV show a place where everybody knows you, it was welcoming and the food was good and consistant. After Rich sold the place the once friendly waitresses all left immediately and since then there has been a constant turnover in the wait staff. The food has also suffered and I wonder if it is because they 've tried to cut corners and go for cheaper ingredients. I used to love their Blueberry Crunch pancakes, it was heavenly, but now instead of being a lovely light, crunch concoction, it is dense, heavy and chewy. Have they gone to a cheaper pancake batter ? I don 't know, all I do know is that I stopped ordering it as it was a disappointment ! My husband and I really wanted to love this place as it is in our neightborhood and we have gone there for so many years, but it just is no longer the same, it has lost that Cheers feeling and the food has definitely gone down hill. Also there is much that needs attention to the interior such as a number of the ceiling tiles are badly stained and need replacing Once, severa; years ago, it used to be open several nights a week for dinner but that too changed as they felt it just was not profitable . . . funny but when Rich owned the place he was able to have a full house for dinner. I remember having to wait in a crowd for an available table, but now it tends to be empty most of the time . . . maybe the quality of the food and a constantly changing line of faces in their wait staff has a lot to do with it ?"
