"Loved the atmosphere, the attention to detail and service we received. Wasn't overly impressed with the food. I had steak tail, it was cooked very good, but for the pricing point I think I should have been wowed by it. We've eaten at several other restaurants with this pricing and had a better meal. The wine was delicious I was glad they had a sweet wine to choose. Our other meal was salmon it was good, but again nothing that knocked my socks off. I would definitely dine here again with the superior service looking for a nice place to eat, but I might look somewhere else if I am looking for better food."

"Ended up eating here by accident, the place we attempted to dine at moved to an upstairs location and I wasnt able to carry my stroller up a steep and narrow staircase, so we went across to Takara and we were very happy we did. The seaweed salad was the best I have ever had! The sushi tasted very fresh and the Thai Basil Rice with Shrimp was so tasty. I would definitely visit this place again."

"We just moved to this area, and we were SO EXCITED this place was still here after we visited 3 years ago. And I will say, the sushi was still amazing. But at lunch on a Friday, not only was it not busy, the service was terrible. And there were only maybe 6 tables being used. On top of that, the waitress over charged me on the lunch special and said it was because I chose a cheaper roll than the special. Yes, I chose a cheaper roll, so she charged me more....? The food wasn't worth the experience and honeslty the place could use a good cleaning and update. They did earn the 1 star for good food."

"My wife and I order every Saturday from this place. The sushi is great and hits the spot and reasonable on pricing. The only issue that you need to be aware of is if you are picking up, the food is never ready on time no matter if the text message says it is. I would say give it an extra 10 minutes before leaving when you receive the text stating your order is ready. I wanted to update my review of this place, was told a to pick up at 5:45, I came on site as told and have waited for over a hour, as much as I like the sushi, the carry out is a joke. If you are planning to carry out build in 30 to 40 minutes of the time told to pick up especially on the weekend before even leaving your house. And when you ask everyone just seems confused and says let me go check and walks away. DO NOT ORDER CARRYOUT IF YOU ARE NOT FLEXIBLE."

Popped in here on a Monday night and enjoyed a wide variety of appetizers and a few sushi rolls. Our server claimed it was his 1st night serving and he normally works in the kitchen.. "I really had a great experience here. Everything we had was excellent! The drinks were amazing and fairly priced, The guyoza (Japanese dumplings) where incredible, The sushi was fresh. It was super busy and when we came in. Initially, we thought we where going to be waiting on food for a while but the servers and kitchen did a great job keeping everything moving, and we didn’t wait long at all. "It’s hard to enjoy the food on a hot day when there’s no air conditioning, just fans. As for the food itself, the calamari appetizer had a light crisp batter, though I wish they had used panko also. The beef negimaki was tender but the color was a bit pale; the scallions retained their crunch. Pass on the miso soup, for its weak diluted flavor. If you don’t mind walking to Second Avenue, Sushi Ren is a better value."
