"The Garifuna people in Belize are a mix of African slaves and native Caribs from the Caribbean islands. Luckily for us, someone has brought their traditional cuisine and cooking skills to 63rd Street! After exploring the DuSable Museum's Craft Festival, we decided to stop by this restaurant. Susan enjoyed a Belizean Ice Tea, while I opted for a Red Stripe beer. We kicked off our meal with tasty conch fritters, followed by jerk chicken with rice and beans, and conch soup. The soup was especially delicious, with a mix of potatoes, peas, cassava, onions, peppers, and perfectly seasoned conch. The prices are fair, the portions generous, the service friendly, and the restaurant spotless. We will definitely be coming back with friends!"
