"I would say that eating is good, but I couldn't eat it because they converted it into a pizzeria with three small tables, one of which was covered with pizza boxes. the next room that was the restaurant is now an Italian market. "After driving past this little restaurant every day for months and saying we wanted to go, we finally caved in before seeing a play at the theater in Old Town. We took advantage of the $39.95 dinner special for two and it was SO much food. We both got the heaping portions of bruschetta which was delicious, and I got the chicken parm and my boyfriend got the chicken cacciatore. The red sauce was one of the best I've had in awhile. The special also included two glasses of wine and I had a crisp Pinot Grigio and my boyfriend (not a wine drinker) got the Chardonnay and actually loved it. Lastly, it included a shared dessert which I hadn't heard of before but it was whipped cream covered and I'm pretty sure we inhaled it whole. All in all, we cannot wait for our next trip back and highly recommend if you are looking for authentic Italian in Alexandria with a quaint ambiance."

"Everything about my experience at this location was awesome. I've been to maggianos in Vegas and the Carolinas and had an amazing experience as well. But this location is the original and it definitely sets the tone. Very inviting, welcoming, whind down, chill ambiance setting. I went on a Thursday afternoon after shopping for a quick bite and got such personable service. I ordered crab cakes, lobster dip and chicken marsala with a red sangria and a spaghetti and meatballs to go..... all dishes were delightful."

"I often command. I get crab legs every time. Prices have risen (like anything else to expect), but the portion sizes have gone down. Tonight I ordered the execution and I am very disappointed. My crabs and potatoes were cold. The crab legs looked old and evil. I didn't even eat the leg. What a waste of $40. Probably will not return after that. Not to mention the lady who brought my food out, she seemed to hate her job."

"What an amazing place! I love the VIBE and the STAFF! The bartender was so amazing and the manager was very closely involved with the takin care of all together with the kitchen staff! "The salads are expensive but very large so share one. I had the ravioli in a vodka sauce. It was very good but the portion was a bit small. My wife had a Mediterranean salad with grilled salmon on top. Usually they do a good job with the salmon but this time it was overcooked. To their credit, when we told them they took it off the bill. There are only a few tables inside so reservations are a good idea, even in the Summer when it is too hot to eat outside where they have lots of seating."

I filled the back of my truck with pizzas. the staff was helpful in ordering solutions for the problem of each person and had everything prepared in time and hot. they were well prepared and went fast. in comparison to other implementation solutions, this was by far our best experience for the large mass feeds at the weekend. I would recommend the pizza to everyone even in a much smaller environment."

Disappointed to find a Lemoncello Marscarpone Cheeesecake in its place due to the cake being out of stock."
