"Food was good! Service was mediocrely best didn't seem like the cook was satisfied with his job at this special visit. For a family of five, we were charged an automatic satisfaction of 18%, and it seemed as if they wanted us to tap more about what I was always a 20% tip, so they had already charged us that tip is a real big shutdown. If at Oz, which I frequent, they calculate 18% Gratity for seven or more and sometimes if they are just kids they are not adding this again I type for what the value of service and food it should not be a standard 18% tip at the party of 5 for a 300$ meal. Not worth it."

"wonderful experience in the whole environment! chef ken was not only full of talent, but so entertaining! he had let the table laugh all the time. manager tony has often checked to make sure everyone was happy, and was the first to greet every customer at the arrival. server lori was also excellent. next time I am in orlando, I will be definitiw back!"

"this meal seemed our cook in a hurry. he started 10 mini after the table next to us, but at least 5 minutes earlier. no steal sweat that everyone enjoys. I just rushed to get it over, and eating was badly spiced. also, in recent years we have been able to enjoy a birthday dinner through the reward program with the right id. Now we found out everyone had to have his own card and they said we should have known since it was on the website. I've been in cove for over a decade. I had no reason to go on the website. as long as they have od and are member, why should it be important? also they do not give any more points for what they buy. it is sad that they no longer recognize faithful customers. it was sadly a disappointing dinner."

"Kobé Tampa never disappoints, this is one of our favorite places. The chefs put on a great show they're always entertaining and funny. I'll forever refer to scallops as Japanese meatballs now. The sushi is fresh, food is flavorful, there's a great variety of menu options, and you'll definitely have leftovers for the following day. They do offer Gluten friendly options and make sure to check with everyone at the table for any food allergies. You're told initially when making a reservation to expect a short wait after checking in. We've never really had to wait long, maybe 10 minutes tops. Most issues with reservations times seem pretty avoidable by being punctual. Other reviews mention the slick floors they were definitely slippery but it was also unusually warm in there last night. If this can be resolved by turning the thermostat down, then Kobe, please make it cooler in there. No real complaints otherwise. Can't wait to go back!"

"a situation happened that was not good with us. I have reserved for 11 people before some weeks. before a week I got a call that asked if we still come to the restaurant; I confirmed a day before our reservation, I got an email when the reservation was still standing; I confirmed. on the day of the reservation, I got two phone calls from Kobe ask an hour apart whether we still come and were there will be 11 people I confirmed. when nine of us were in time, I told them the last two would be 15-20 minutes. Late. the manager said they wouldn't put us until everyone was there. I said they don't have to serve us, we can just sit on the table. the answer was a clear no. it just didn't make sense. the table normally holds 10, but they had agreed to 11 of us in. it wasn't like we took one table from another party. we would prefer a restaurant that tries to host its patrons and not vice versa. they must have enough customers that they do not feel the need to provide them to them."

"I went in there right at 5PM on 10/13/21. Even though there wasn't enough ppl RIGHT AT 5pm (when they open) to fill an entire hibachi table, they quickly brought out our sides and started the show. We had the whole station to ourselves. Sam was an amazing chef. He entertained us with awesome skills and great conversation. He immediately seemed like a friend instead of a cook. Mr. Mateo was our server and was timely and polite with any of our requests. At the end of the meal, they all came out and wished me a happy birthday in American style then Japanese style. It was just an amazing experience, not just a dinner. We will definitely go back again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, delicious, and large portioned freshly created meal."

"We enjoy Kobe's. It's pricey but you get your money's worth. We take home boxes of food every time. On the down side, you could be sitting next to a full table of LOUD men who have no sense of consideration to everyone else in the restaurant. The chef's are fun and always pleasant and most conscience of any thing special such as food allergies. They cook your protein just the way you ask. It's a good night out!"

"We ate at the table instead of the hibachi. I would have give 5 stars but them charging 18% gratuity for sitting at the table was a bit annoying. The server explained it early on and she was more than worth it. Food was great, the chicken had great flavor but a bit too much pepper for me. The order was more than enough food for me and my daughter to share and take some home."

"Yuku was our server, amazing quick efficient service. Tony was the manager, such a positive and considerate soul! Our chef was Chino, great jokes and delicious food. Will come again. The photo is from the front while we waited to be seated, about an hour at 8 pm."
