"I'll start with the good I suppose. Our waitress was fantastic and the drinks were strong. But that's about it.When we walked in we waited about 5 minutes before someone acknowledged our presence and sat us.Food came out quickly. Main courses before appetizers and my food was a solid 6-7 minutes ahead of my partners. Not great.But the food itself. My partner was unimpressed with the dim sum but enjoyed the sushi. I had their Mongolian BBQ beef sizzling plate. And it was so salty it was at the point of being inedible. Like they took full sodium soy sauce and added msg, more salt, garlic, and ginger then called it a marinade.The biggest downfall in my mind is the rice. Its so simple to not screw up with a half decent rice cooker and a brain. I was served crusty dry rice. Like it was left in a rice cooker on warm for the last 4 hours and all the moisture was gone.A Chinese restaurant that can't even do rice right.Do not waste your money on this food."

"very popular place in expensive area. on a Sunday they visited this place, so they sat me very quickly on a table. but I'm sure they have to book a table in advance on Friday and Saturday. the restaurant itself is very beautiful and in combination with excellent eating I can say that I would visit this place more than once. "My go-to neighborhood Chinese food joint. Almost everything I've eaten here is good, minus the calamari. Looks like they just set the stove on burn. Place decor needs some serious updating. Probably still has the original wallpaper."

"My wife and I chose Hiro 88 for our New Years Eve dinner. Everything exceeded our expectations! We were seated promptly (we had a reservation), our server appeared promptly, our drinks and appetizer came in a very short time and our meals also were delivered in a perfect timeframe. The apps and sushi were excellent and our server checked on us several times. For a very busy night, everything was flawless, from the host/hostess, our server, and others that brought out drinks, apps and entrees. This is a team concept that works really well. We highly recommend Hiro 88 for a friendly, efficient and excellent dining experience!"
