"There are many great restaurants in Vermont; Hen of the Woods counts as one of them. Their restaurant in Burlington is likewise fantastic. The food menu is somewhat limited and the portions somewhat small. But the food is fantastic and the service perfect. The wine/beer/cocktail menu is the opposite: 4 pages long! You will find what you want and the wine list is extensive. The small plate items are indeed small so more of an appetizer. But have no fear when ordering! What ever you decide will be delicious and fresh. The decor is a renovated old mill and is neat and cozy. Nothing but good things to say and if you know me that's saying something! LOL! Enjoy!"

"Had dinner at a restaurant for the first time out this year, because you know. Best American cuisine I’ve had in a while. If I was to invite people from out of country and show off American cuisine this place will definitely be a hit. Atmosphere is quaint and invites you to have a glass or two with dinner and a conversation. Smoke from chimneys ligers in the air to give it a very country feel. The food is tasty and the portions won’t let you think that you need a second dinner after your dinner. Also I live five minutes from this place and will definitely come back . Update got takeout from here for my birthday. Yet another perfect celebration dinner. Food was absolutely delicious."
