"Orchid Thai is a counter-serve Thai restaurant off Central. There’s ample parking in the back that’s off the main road, which is nice.Inside, seating is at tables with chairs instead of booths, so wheelchair users will have no issues here.Orchid Thai serves a variety of alcoholic drinks along with the standard sodas and teas. The entree menu is large, and they had an item I’ve not seen in my years of Thai dining: a Green Tea Curry. Unfortunately I’m not a fan of green tea flavors, so I skipped this dish.I got the Pud Thai (usually spelled “pad” , which consisted of a protein choice, rice noodles, egg, bean sprouts, peanut sauce, crushed peanuts, broccoli, steamed squash strips, and a lime garnish. I ordered the dish medium, but they forgot the spice and it came mild without a hint of added heat. While the portion sizes were quite large, the food itself was mostly just fine. I’d describe it as “doing the job” since I was hungry, but I wouldn’t crave what they served. There are other Thai places around that are much better and are less expensive. It seems the focus here is on quantity over quality.Vegetarian options: Thai food is easily made vegetarian or even vegan.Parking: There is a large shared parking lot in the back.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs into the venue and all seating is table/chairs, not booths, so patrons using wheelchairs won’t have an issue."

"My wife and I were looking forward to a special dinner with out of town guests...our first opportunity to sample the food at Pad Thai after reading so many positive reviews. Now that I have dined there, I can honestly say that I feel as though we must have eaten at a completely different restaurant than other reviewers for our experience was poor. It began with the hostess being unable to find our reservation...we were eventually seated. We did not see a waitress for the first 30 minutes we were there. Finally, the bartender/hostess came over and took our drink and appetizer order. Nearly an hour passed before our waitress finally showed up. The drinks were tepid and did not taste as though they contained any alcohol (the consensus at our table). The appetizers, however, were good (Tiger Cry Beef and Soft Pork Spring Rolls). Three out of four people ordered some variation of Pad Thai, since it was the signature dish. Two of us ordered it hot. The pad thai would rank a 1 out of 5 on my scale overcooked, drenched in an overpowering sauce, and devoid of any heat (spice). Thai is our favorite food...and we 've eaten at dozens of Thai restaurants through the years. Pad Thai would rank pretty far down the list based on our recent experience. I do not enjoy giving a restaurant such a poor review. It 's a tough industry in which to survive. But poor food and non existent service will eventually catch up with you. I hope that the owners take these words to heart and ensure that other diners have a better dining experience."
