"I really wanted to love this place but it came up short. The french onion soup was so salty it was inedible. The waiter asked what I thought of the soup and when I told him all he said was sorry. No offer of something else or not charging me for something I couldn't eat. They do a weird thing with their butter where it sits in olive oil and is drizzled with balsamic. I think they think this is sophistcated but it's just a strange mix. My wife had the halibut bites that were ok but salty....just not as salty as my soup. I had the border burguer which was good. The only thing was that I asked that the aioli be placed on the side but it came spreas on both buns. The fries were also very good. The waiter was extremely softspoken and we couldn't hear half of what he said."

"This place has the potential to be a five star place but I'm only giving it 2 stars because after waiting over 45 minutes for a table we were still seated in the very back of the restaurant so we would not interfere with the other white patrons....It would not have been so bad but there were other empty tables available when we were seated.....We actually was very offended...but chose here because the other restaurants at Leberge Casino was closed....If you are black or other minority and want to experience a classic case of discrimination this is definitely the place...... lastly for a so call 5 star restaurant they were short on their most signature dishes... lobsters and crab legs. One thing for certain they need not worry about me or my family dining here again. This dump can use some sensitivity training!"

"Turns out that I saved the best for last! I've been staying here at the L'auberge for the past few weeks while working out in Lake Charles and on my last night I made it in to give it a try. Don't wait as long as I did! The service, atmosphere and fare will not disappoint. I tried the Bison Ribeye and OMG! If you haven't tried it you have GOT to! The rest of the meal was just as amazing. Thank you for a wonderful evening!"

"If I could give it zero stars I would. They refused to allow mashed potatoes instead of fingerling potatoes with my meal. She said the chef is strict and wouldn't allow the change. Even though mashed potatoes were offered tonight, Mothers Day! They brought us the wrong tables food. And none of our food came out at the same time. Four people got their food and they other two had to wait until everyone was almost done. They said the salmon takes longer to cook than the well done burger. Came all the way from California and was really looking forward to this restaurant. Very disappointing. Never written a bad review of a restaurant before."

"Food was really good, and the portions are excellent for the price. Expected to spend double what the bill actually was. The drinks are tasty, and the service was great. Loved the vibe and music on the rooftop! Will definitely be back."
