"For a Sunday evening late in August, customer load on the kitchen shouldn't have been a factor, and front-of-the-house staffing seemed adequate (certainly our server was attentive, friendly and helpful). Still: disappointing overall. The Arugula Salad was fresh and tangy, compensating somewhat for the lackluster House-Made Ricotta and limp toast points. The Moussaka was spicy but had no body and tasted nothing like the Greek dish we recall fondly. We returned the Flatiron Steak to the kitchen for reheating, because neither the meat--rare as ordered, tender and flavorful--nor the polenta (creamy, yes; mascarpone, elusive) were even room temperature. The Cabernet was overpriced, unsurprisingly. The Orange Sorbet, on the other hand, was a delight and, to a degree, rescued the evening. Maybe our meal at Splendido the previous evening had set the bar impossibly high"
