"I think they are under new management. Food is terrible now. We were regulars before, and had taken a break for the past 3-4 months. We orders order normal order of butter chicken and chicken curry, garlic naan and it was horrible. We threw out the food.Butter chicken was super sweetChicken curry wasn’t flavorful at all or even spicy. I had asked for extra spicy.Naan tasted freezer burnt.So disappointing"

"Visited this restaurant today (Jan 3, 2014) and the very helpful staff prepared vegan food for all four of us 2 adults and a 9 12 year old. We ordered chana masala, a vegan version of their kids all in one' meal, dal soup, potato paratha and Bombay aloo. The chana masala was excellent, the dal good and the all in one' kids meal very good VFM. The Bombay potato was a disappointment because they used canned potatoes! The paratha was so tasty we ordered a second. Prices were $10-$15 an entree, a little high for the lower quality ingredients. This might explain the high use of salt! All-in-all a pleasant enough experience in an area short of good vegan restaurants. Sundays they have a vegetarian lunch buffet."

The new owner Maya is so friendly and welcoming....she will engage in a friendly conversation with you. Also willing to explain any and all dishes with you. "We booked a table for 2pm. Nowhere did it say it 'd be buffet. We didn 't mind it that much, but just after we got there, they started picking all the utensils up and we were rushed to grab some food. Just after 20 minutes a guy started coming to our table (we were still eating) and after a few rather unfriendly looks he said we are closed now, so you have to finish . Food was fine, but the fact that they don 't explain that you will be rushed to grab your food and then kick you out is definitely wrong."

"my partner and I were totally excited to discover this off-the-beaten-path restaurant that offers several vegan options. it did not appear in any search we tried for vegan places in the Bethesda area. When our food arrived, we could immediately say that the cook took care of the preparation and presentation of every dish. our meals were delicious and unique - not the usual Indian vegan farewell, which we could just make ourselves home. my only intention would be that, because this was our first time in this restaurant, we were not asked and offered no notices about spicy level. from this reason I think that the desired spicy level was accepted as mild, but we both agreed that we would ask for medium-size if we visited the next time. everything in everything, very satisfied and we will return!"

"We've been here twice at this point. Both times the food was excellent, but both times most of the people providing service have been lukewarm, verging on somewhat inattentive. My usual technique, once realizing we're experiencing mediocre hospitality, is to try to win them over with extra strength kindness, but to no avail ... they're just too grumpy. To say please, thank you and to give complements illicit no responses. We may come back there are a couple of dishes that are unique to here that make enduring their attitudes almost worth it, but we are most likely going to try other places. We come for the experience and great food not a helping of cold fish."

"We used to enjoy coming here for Sunday brunch, but we were disappointed when they suddenly started offering champagne. The food is delicious, but we feel that the price is not justified without the champagne. We wish they had the option to add champagne for a few extra dollars instead of removing it completely. "I can't find out why people's negative reviews leave for the life of me. the prices are on the point for the opposite, the staff are some of the most friendly people I have met in new jersey, raju and saad take care of me every time, and that eating is amazingly delicious. the lunch buffet is spectacular every time. they really care about the customer and come from a place of authenticity and ease. I really believe that people have only tormented American Indian cuisine if they feel that it is missing. I live near newark and the Indian food outside there is much more expensive, and smaller portions. it is worth definitiw. 5 stars each time."
