"I was looking for a simple fried chicken spot without any fancy extras. As a native of New Orleans, I'm accustomed to some of the best fried chicken out there. That's how I ended up at Crown Fried Chicken. There was a small line that was moving at a decent pace, which made me feel optimistic since I assumed their chicken would be fresh and not sitting out for too long. Unfortunately, I was mistaken! I ordered a six-piece meal with fries and ended up with one drumstick and five thighs. The chicken was terrible! It was old, dry, and tough. I took a bite of each piece, and they were all difficult to chew. They had a bit of flavor, and I might have enjoyed them if they had been hot and fresh. Sadly, I won’t be returning. I should have taken it as a warning when the person taking my order seemed to look right through me to ask someone outside what they wanted while I was standing right in front of him."
