"Do not leave the fact that this in Pinole and in a Strip-Mall you try from this wonderful place. The menu offers an appropriate selection of Italian fare. It is not specific for each region, but covers the whole country. The food is made with the freshest and best local ingredients and lovingly prepared. Portions are quite generous and the prices are moderate. This makes an excellent value. The service is professional and friendly. Intrestngly, the chief/owner, Pedro and his wife are not Italian. Instead, they come from San Salvador. Pedro learned to cook Italian under an Italian cook and later, replaced this cook. He opened the Il Fornia, Walnut Creek and ran it for 8 years before he cleared up the company's life. He was looking for a place he could afford and so he ended up in Pinole. It is located in the Strip Mall, which contains a Big 5 Sporting Goods Store, a supermarket and many Fast Food Franchises. Use the Appian Way exit from I-80. Try it. You'll like it! Jim."
