"A desire for a delicious cup of hot chocolate brought us to Jimmie's Chocolates. It started as a discussion a couple of days before our trip here today. Yesterday we bought William Sonoma's Classic Hot Chocolate but that is coming in the mail and my Mom is a chocoholic. We arrived at Cafe 47 which is the cafe that is located directly in front of Jimmie's Chocolates which says it is the oldest chocolatier in Florida having been established in 1947. First of all Jimmie's Hot Chocolate which is not made from a mix but with real chocolate was delicious. It helped that it was also hot chocolate drinking weather today. After taking countless photos inside while our hot chocolates were being freshly made, we paid for our hot beverages and milk chocolate reindeer for a friend, and headed outside. There are several outdoor eating areas that are connecting Jimmie's Chocolates and Cafe 47. They are quite unique and pleasant looking. However, considering the chill in the air today, we opted to sit inside our car on warm seats and sip our hot chocolate there under the circumstances. We would have chosen to eat at Cafe 47 after our dessert of hot chocolate but unfortunately it was closed. Please please check out the countless pictures of the inside of Jimmie's Chocolates. It looks like a circus like tent is pitched inside the place to me. Very festive. My Mom said it looked like a wrapped present. I think that is because she was hinting that she wanted her own private chocolate store for herself. It is good to have a dream. This place is absolutely charming and they have an endless variety of chocolates including mailable chocolate bars with birthday greetings, as well as other types of greetings. A more affordable chocolate present for my Mom."
