"Beatrix isn't your average restaurant. It's a chameleon, effortlessly shifting from sun-drenched brunch haven to chic bistro as the day melts into dusk. I've popped in for both, and let me tell you, this place has serious charm in every iteration. The menu is a celebration of fresh, seasonal ingredients. My go-to? The ricotta and lemon pancakes. They're pillowy soft, infused with a hint of citrus, and practically melt in your mouth. Don't even get me started on the housemade strawberry jam – it's like sunshine on a spoon. As the day deepens, Beatrix transforms into a cozy oasis. String lights twinkle overhead, casting a warm amber glow, and the chatter softens to a gentle hum. It's the perfect setting for an intimate dinner date or a catch-up with friends. The dinner menu is a touch more refined, but still playful. I devoured the pan-roasted chicken with root vegetables and a decadent truffle glaze – it was pure comfort food heaven. And let's not forget the cocktails – the grapefruit Paloma is a tart and refreshing masterpiece. But Beatrix is more than just good food (although, that's definitely a major draw). It's the little things that make the experience special. The staff is friendly and attentive, always there with a smile and a refill. And the open kitchen adds a touch of theater to the whole affair – it's mesmerizing to watch the chefs work their magic. P.S. Don't leave without trying a slice of their famous caramel pie. It's gooey, it's salty, it's perfection. You'll thank me later."

"We live in Holland and the original plan was to dine somewhere in downtown GR on Saturday night to celebrate the academic performance of our daughter. BUT .. that was NOT happening as all places were basically booked and filled. Then we had to make a quick decision to find another place to din. Found this place online (because our daughter has eaten to burgers and pommes) based on the reviews and menu items. We ordered MI Queso Dip (for appetizer), Hangover Burger with truffles Fries, and two sugar burgers with truffles Fries, onion rings and Kettle chips. The place has a modern look and neat with many great artworks and paintings by ArtPrize on the wall. The night we crashed. After the appetizers our burgers arrived. But we had a small incident. One of the burgers we had accidentally ordered came with a piece of metal into the burger that we didn't know what it was first. Fortunately, man only took a bite when he discovered that and we immediately called our server and explained what happened. Our server was very nice and had a quick answer. She took the burger and told us she had another burger for a replacement. Then shortly after, the manager came to our table, sincerely apologise to us, and explained that a piece of metal seemed to come out of the roast basket. Possibly it came accidentally from the metal basket after frying onion rings and accidentally landed in the burgers, the sugar burgers had onion rings in the stack within the bungalow. The incident happened and it happened to us tonight. Not too long the substitute Burger arrived and we all enjoyed our meal. Big burgers, frits, onion rings, dinner rolls, chips and appetizer diving!!! Burgers are hands down, best quality meat burgers EVER!!! In the end, the manager took care of one of the sugar burgers that had the metal and took it out of the bill, although we had not expected them to do that, as we already got the replacement. This is a great and excellent customer service!!! We applauded that the manager and the server did above and beyond the mandatory call. We really appreciated the service and that's why we gave 5 stars. We will surely be back in the future to try further menu items"
